Aftercare Basics

Keep the bandage on for 2–5 days. It's normal to see some body fluid inside the bandage.

Wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

Gently wash with mild soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion.

Avoid soaking, sun exposure, tight clothing, and scratching.

Healing takes about 2–4 weeks.
Possible Complications & Warning Signs
Infection: Excessive redness, swelling, warmth, pus, fever, or red streaks.
What to do: Keep clean; seek medical help if symptoms worsen.
Allergic Reaction: Itchy rash, swelling, or persistent irritation.
What to do: Use antihistamines; see a doctor if it persists.
Scarring & Poor Healing: Thick scabs, patchy ink, or raised scars.
What to do: Avoid picking and over-moisturizing.
Ink Rejection/Keloids: Raised, bumpy, or fading ink.
What to do: Monitor and consult a dermatologist if needed.
Seek medical attention within 24 hours for: Spreading redness or streaks. Fever or flu-like symptoms. Severe pain or unusual discharge.
